Another January, another month-long daily caricature challenge! Although, unlike previous years, I was already doing a daily “Coronacature” challenge (well, I participated daily at first, then dropped off as time went on…) and an April “Fool’s” daily challenge for the 2020 month of April when the pandemic was first forcing […]
With the corona virus still raging, I’ve had to turn down new caricature gigs for large gatherings. However, I still had one event that I had agreed to back in September 2019, and though it was rescheduled from the original date of July 2020, it finally happened on December 12, […]
As the holiday season starts up, I only had time to participate in two daily Coronacatures for the month of November. Here are the finished results and reference photos for my take on John Goodman (star of the Flintstones movie, as he would look in actual cartoon form as Fred […]
Another cover illustration opportunity for the alt-weekly Asheville paper, The Mountain Xpress came up recently, and I was able to provide this requested autumn scene of squirrel families safely enjoying the Thanksgiving holidays in separate “pods” to keep them safe from the current cover-19 virus situation. With the April pandemic in full swing and sheltering at home the thing to do, I participated in both April Caricature Challenges. This one was started by famed MAD Magazine caricature cartoonist, Tom Richmond on Facebook. I participated in many of these throughout April, sometimes switching between this challenge and […]
Having more time at home with gigs canceled, the makers of the usually January-only “Caricature Resolution” added an extra month for April 2020. I participated in both that, and the Tom’s Daily Coronacature challenge as well. Some of the subjects for each day overlapped, but these are just the caricatures […]
This week’s new issue of the alt-weekly Asheville Mountain Xpress paper features a new cover illustration by me. The paper needed a humorous cover design to accompany the cover story about local social-distancing mandates that have become “The New Normal” due to the worldwide Cover-19 pandemic. It was also requested […]
