2025 marks ten years of me participating in Drawlloween (the month-long, daily drawing challenge in October, where artists much follow the daily prompt of a phrase to create a suitably Halloweenish type drawing. Hence: Draw lloween. I did the first one in 2015, actually drawing in a notebook with ink because I was also participating in INKTOBER, a similar daily challenge that requires black and white ink drawings, or so I imagined from the name, but each year after that, I have opted to use my iPad and pressure-sensitive Apple Pencil to draw the art digitally, making sharing online much easier, and coloring more vibrant, mistakes easier to correct, etc.
This year’s calendar of prompts is below. I hope to manage to find time to draw each day’s prompt on that day, as I have in the past (except for, you know, the times I didn’t). I will update the photos when I create new art each day, or at least a year from now, as I took that long to update my whole site from Drawlloween last year…
