| BRENT BROWN is a native resident of the NC mountains near Asheville and Hendersonville. He has worked in illustration, cartooning, graphic design and as a caricaturist for over 25 years. He is a Leo, married since 1985, has two children and upcoming orthodontist, car insurance and college tuition bills to pay as a result (oh and a lifetime of love and happiness, of course).
A graduate of the Art Institute of Atlanta, and Gulf War I (the original, and still best, one) veteran, he has worked as a commercial artist at local publications, advertising agencies; for local ABC TV affilate, WLOS-TV; and marketing firms as both a staff employee and free-lancer. He has had work published locally as well as nationally in MAD Magazine.
His illustrations have been commissioned for book covers by Torquere Press as well as story illustrations for webzines and independent authors. His comic strip, "The Vast Wasteland" was distributed by Continental Features/Continental News Service of San Diego. His bi-weekly cartoons can be seen in the Asheville, NC Mountain Xpress paper. His house cannot be seen from the road. So don't try.
Additionally, Brent does work as a caricaturist on a commissioned hourly basis for all types of public, corporate and private events. There is a two hour minimum, and yes, he's heard the "she doesn't have a wart on her nose" joke a million times, so don't think you just thought of it.
